  1. Great giveaway love!!! Just had 10 minutes to update my bloggy and saw this. I posted it for yah! I am not 100% vegan so I am not sure I deserve to sport this gear but it is SO cute! I love being MOSTLY vegan (dairy-free pescatarian?) because I feel I am doing my part lowering my carbon footprint more than the meat eaters. I also just FELT better all around when I cut out meat, dairy and poultry.

  16. I love being vegan b/c I am doing it the right weay this time. I went vegan years ago, but only replaced meat w/ meatless foods. Gained weight, didn't feel any better. This time I've done my research and I LOVE it. I feel amazing, I am fighting cancer and heart problems, helping animals, helping the enviroment and doing my part to make life better.

  22. I love being Vegan for many reasons. To be able to feel good about what I put in and on my body. To know that I am doing the least amount of harm to the environment by eating Vegan and choosing Vegan products over mass produced commercial products when ever I can. And the most important is teaching my two boys (ages 8 and 4) that you can have compassion for animals and the environment and still be a "man". Seeing them at Farm Sanctuaries telling the animals they are "friends not food" makes me a proud mama!

  29. Meatless Mondays? Yes, love 'em. They're right in between Meatless Tuesdays, Meatless Wednesdays,... and Meatless Sundays.

It all began for me back on October 1st, 2010 during World Vegetarian Day. What began as a "day" is now a most wonderful "lifetime". :) No looking back.

  30. *This is a comment from a reader who sent their comment to my email, I am adding it here for her so that she is eligible for the giveaway* Thank you Barbara for the sweet email!

BARBARA SAYS "very cool! wasn't sure where to leave the comment about why I love being vegan .... so I will leave it here ..........In June it will be one year that I am vegan .....My husband and I went to Mexico last year this time to visit friends who live there - Puerto Vallarta. we stayed two months, traveling from there to other little towns as well. (we drove there in our own vehickle) . While I was there I would see these adorable animals roaming all over the place ... pigs, chickens, goats, cows, horses .... It was then that I decided that I just couldn't eat animals anymore! Growing up I had never really associated what came in the package at the grocery store to an "animal" .... anyway, I came home from Mexico, delved head first into vegan cooking, bought a zillion cookbooks, found Morgan's website, "Little House of Veggies" and started on my new path ..... I LOVE all the food I eat. There is nothing that I miss! I Found out that it is really all about changing my taste buds to like new foods instead of the foods I was used to..... Almond milk, Earth Balance, tofu, seitan, tempeh .... I love it all so much!! I actually crave "tempeh reuben sandwiches" sometimes!! and of course the best news is that my cholesterol has dropped considerably and is now in a healthy range! I have never felt or looked better in my life!! What was a big challenge in the beginning is now my way of life ..... forever!! When I have non vegan friends over, I love to make my yummy dishes and surprise them! When I tell them it is vegan, they can't beleive it! ... because they usually love what they are eating!!! and so that is my story. I would love to win a "vegan necklace" to wear and show the world as I am so proud and happy with my choice to be vegan ....on so many levels!
    Peace and love,"
